Automotive Interior Exposure Test Chamber
The AIM Box car interior exposure test box is suitable for conducting light aging tests on large components such as instrument panels, seat cushions,
Product details

Product Introduction

The AIM Box exposure test chamber is a sealed space with glass attached to its surface, creating the same lighting and thermal conditions inside the car. These important environmental aging factors lead to color changes, cracking, peeling, oxidation, or loss of strength in car and truck interiors. The AIM Box exposure test chamber enhances these aging factors by tracking the sun throughout the day.

The AIM Box exposure test box is highly suitable for installing large components such as instrument panels, seat cushions, and steering wheels. In addition, small and flat samples such as car interior decorations can also be placed.

Actual simulation

The testing of automotive interior materials is different from the testing of other materials, as the temperature inside the car may be much higher than outside. In warm environments, materials may reach temperatures of 100 ° C or higher. In addition, the sunlight reaching the interior of the car is filtered by the car glass, resulting in it being different from natural sunlight. In this case, in order to achieve actual results, the spectral diagram used for testing automotive interior parts may differ from natural sunlight. Q-Lab's AIM Box exposure test chamber uses real car glass on the front cover to ensure consistent spectra.

The AIM Box exposure test chamber monitors and limits the temperature inside the chamber. Use a blackboard thermometer to monitor the temperature inside the box, and when the set value is reached, the blower will automatically start to cool the sample, creating a harsh but realistic testing environment.

The AIM Box at Arizona Sunlight Field tracks the sun's position accurately throughout the day. Therefore, the sample receives more solar radiation than usual, resulting in faster testing speed without sacrificing accuracy.

AIM Exposure Test Chamber - Testing Method

Q-Lab's AIM Box exposure test chamber complies with various automotive industry testing methods, some of which are shown below. If you need a complete list, please call 【】

GM 2617M, 3619M, 7454M, 7455M, 9538P

GMW 3417

Ford DVM 0020

ASTM G201

According to the different standards mentioned above, different types of glass are required for the AIM exposure test chamber during the actual testing process to meet different standards.

Q-Lab tests and evaluates the testing methods of ASTM, ISO, BSI, DIN, JIS, SAE, and other recognized organizations in accordance with the ISO 17025 certification system.

Economical and cost-effective

The AIM Box exposure test box can produce real aging effects in a shorter period of time than natural exposure of ordinary glass. This means that new formulas or products can enter the market faster, saving time and effort. In addition, Q-Lab's AIM Box exposure test box testing service is extremely cost-effective - the cost per day is less than the price of a cup of coffee.
